What hope is there when death itself enters the room? In Mark 5:35–43, Jairus receives the worst news a parent could ever hear… “Your daughter is dead.” Humanly speaking, all hope appears gone. But this passage reminds us that Christ’s authority does not end where human hope ends.
Throughout Mark’s Gospel, we have watched Jesus command storms, cast out demons, and heal the sick… and now we witness the Lord of Glory confront mankind’s greatest enemy... death itself.
